Inspirational Sessions

Friday | 7 p.m. Believers in Persecution Look at the Christmas Story

Believers in persecution look at the Christmas story through very different lenses. We shall
reproduce the story, write ourselves into its narrative, and then draw real life and biblical
lessons from the text.

Saturday | 7 p.m. Three Non-Negotiables in a Biblical Theology of Persecution

Do we know when to leave Joseph in Pharaoh?s prison for the sake of the peoples of Egypt
and the Jews? Let us look at what it is going to take for the Gospel to move forward.

Sunday | 10 a.m. Faith in the Desert

Walk with Nik through the desert of Ethiopia and the streets of Mogadishu as God
demonstrates again and again His willingness to leave the 99 in the open country in order
to fid His one lost sheep.

Sunday | 2 p.m. Victorious Living in Persecution

Believers in persecution invite you to experience real faith that can both sustain us and
grow us no matter in what type of political environment we dwell.

Speaker: Nik Ripken

Nik and Ruth Ripken are mission veterans of 30 years, having served in Malawi, South Africa, Kenya,
Somalia, Germany, Ethiopia and the Middle East.
They have interviewed about 600 believers who live in environments of persecution, totaling 72 countries
to date. These believers have courageously shared with the Ripkens how to thrive in persecution, rather
than just survive. Sitting at the feet and learning from believers in persecution has resulted in the writing
and publishing of many articles and books related to faith in persecution, including The Insanity of God
and The Insanity of Obedience.
Nik and Ruth are the parents of three sons, one of whom is deceased.
